Moving your caravan can be so easy!

A motorised or remote control caravan mover, consists of two or four electric motors driving rollers which engage with your caravan's wheels. This is all controlled by a simple remote control. The motors only engage with the caravan wheels when manoeuvringyour caravan. When towing, they are disengaged.

Different motor movers exist for single axle and twin axle caravans and the system controlling the motors on a single axle van be operated in such a way as to allow you to turn your caravan on the spot. Four wheel drive models are also available and are the recommended choice for twin axle caravans.

At Reads we stock movers from some of the most popular manufacturers, Powertouch, Purpleline and Truma. All movers from these manufacturers will automatically hold the caravan still when all controls are released - even on as much as a 1 in 4 gradient! All the movers we supply are installed straight onto the caravan chassis and drive the road wheels via rollers.
